For many residents of Jakarta, the opportunity to get a place with a more spacious land, can not be obtained in the middle of the city. The opportunity to have such a dwelling, can only be found in the outskirts of Jakarta. Areas such as Depok, Bekasi, Tangerang or Bogor became the choice of many residents of Jakarta, or those who worked in Jakarta. Many then give up a few hours of their time in a day spent traveling to Jakarta, in order to get a home with a more open space.

For those who happen to have their own business, moving to the outskirts of Jakarta to make a home into one with the office, is a way to anticipate the journey in the city of Jakarta is very time consuming. Moving to the outskirts of the city gives us the opportunity to organize travel time more freely and to give the staff the option of being able to rent a residence at an affordable price, located not too far from the office.

This was the choice the couple took when they decided to leave their apartment in the center of the city, and moved to Bintaro area in South Tangerang. They replace living in a high-rise apartment unit on the ground, living on low land close to the ground, trees, rain and shadows.

The land he had bought for a few years ago, had not been left alone for some time. Palm trees that have existed since the first time the land was bought, increasingly increasing and increasing. "Homeowners who ask that the trees not be cut, I agree. Finally we designed the spaces of his house, adjusted to the position of existing palm trees, "explained Andra Matin , the architect who is believed to design this house. Because the distance between trees is not too wide, each floor of each building mass in this house mostly single function. One floor for one function room. This relatively thin mass, and then make each room have a close relationship with nature.

"I believe that as humans, we have been created to be able to adapt in the environment in which we live. Someone who has lived in a high-rise apartment in the middle of town can also live comfortably in a residential area on the outskirts of Jakarta, provided we can create a similar space experience in an entirely different place. "
Andra Matin

Because of this close relationship, nature becomes inevitable. Moving from one room to another, it must pass through the midday heat, humid air, also rain water tampias. Day became more familiar because the morning entered directly into the bedroom, without going through the dining room or family room. The shadow was clearly seen walking slowly toward each corner of a seat that is scattered in many edges of this house.

While enjoying the rising morning sun and the ukulele being played a bit sadly, the landlord said "This house changed my life". Beach hats, loose shirts and shorts just above the knee, confirmed his words that this house made it more relaxed and more alive. Years of living at heights over the 10th floor make it difficult to enjoy nature and life. Now, in his new home designed by Andra Matin, things he had not had time to notice, became inevitable.
